- Irish Society of the National Capital Region has been in existence since 1957
- Incorporated as a Non-Profit in 1995
- Organizes the Ottawa St. Patrick’s Parade
- Organizes the Irish Festival
- Selects Parade Grand Marshal and Chief Reviewing Officer
- Organizes the Celtic Cross Ceremony Monday of the August Long weekend
- Supports the Irish Village Recognition Program in the Byward Market
- Supports All Things Irish
