Join us for an evening of music, laughter and fun as we bid farewell (figuratively) to last year’s 2007 St. Patrick’s Day Parade Marshall, David Guilfoyle. Get ready for some keening and wailing as mourners leave the Irish Village at 4:30 pm, following a horse-drawn hearse through the Byward Market. Following the procession, it's back to the pub for an 'amusing' reading of the Last Will (written by Elizabeth Loague) as well as music and entertainment from "The 2 Paddies".


Saturday, March 15
St. Patrick's Day Parade
Leaving Ottawa City Hall at 11:00 am
Arriving Lansdowne Park at 1:00 pm,

Come out and don your green, white and orange as Ottawa celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with its annual parade. Join Honourary Parade Marshall, Austin Comerton (host of the Gaelic Hour on Chin97.9FM) a host of floats, merrymakers and St. Patrick himself as they travel through Ottawa’s downtown core from Laurier Avenue West and down Bank Street.

In support of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Host Charity, volunteers from the Ottawa Food Bank will be collecting
non-perishable food items and donations along the parade route and at the Grand Irish Party. Please give generously!

Following the Parade, join us in Ottawa’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day Party. Food, music, Irish dance and more. Bring the family and make some memories! Featuring MC Art Jamieson and entertainment from Mountain Tay, Gail Gavan, Lauren Hall, Robin Averill, Roddy McCann as well as performances from the Sue Fay Healy Irish Dancers and the Ottawa Fiddle and Step Association

Award of Distinction (Event Update)

Please note that the Award of Distinction Luncheon, previously scheduled at City Hall for 11:30 a.m. has been cancelled. The Award Ceremony honouring founders of the National Irish Canadian Cultural Centre will now take place as part of the "Justabitofcraic" evening at the new National Irish Canadian Cultural Centre. See below for details:
